Its call centre is 800900 and its general enquiry email is info@dm.gov.ae. The official FAQ includes restaurant complaints, water leaks, rubbish around bins and public pest problems. Applying for Dubai Municipality services online

Dubai Municipality's website organises services for individuals, businesses, government and Emirati citizens. Its own app and DubaiNow also provide municipal services. For assistance, use the official service contact or call 800900; do not send identity documents or account passwords to this chat.

Recreational fishing permission and proof of residence

DECCA now handles this service. The retained municipal record describes the following requirements; confirm the current application channel with the responsible authority. The retained municipal record for the line-and-hook fishing permit applies to the coastal locations specified in the permit. Although the general applicant list includes visitors, its conditions require proof of living in Dubai for this permit, such as a tenancy contract, property ownership evidence or DEWA bill. Confirm the current application channel before applying. The permit lasts 1 year and can be renewed under the same conditions. Special location exceptions and rules for accompanied children appear in the service record; do not interpret this permit as unrestricted fishing permission for every beach or method.

Temporary winter camps: eligibility, personal use and deposits

Dubai Municipality's seasonal winter-camp permit is for citizens and personal family use. Submit passport and Family Book copies plus bank details for any approved deposit refund. Follow the officially announced season and available plots. Municipal initial approval is followed by police security clearance; fees and deposit must be paid within the stated deadline. Camps cannot be sublet or used commercially. Remove the camp, restore the land and request the refund through the official process; repayment depends on compliance checks. Distress Live cannot confirm live plot availability or promise a refund.

Al Mamzar Park chalets are reserved for family use. Citizens, residents and visitors can book through the listed public-parks channels or DubaiNow by choosing a chalet/date and paying. Present the ticket to collect the keys. The chalet price does not include park entry, and vehicle entry is separate. The service conditions say the booking date cannot be changed and paid booking fees are not refundable. Check the current park schedule, family-use conditions and availability before booking; the chat cannot reserve a chalet or see live availability.

Municipal burial services and repatriation questions

Dubai Municipality's burial-service record distinguishes Muslim burial arrangements and non-Muslim burial or cremation permits. Listed documents include the Dubai Police burial NOC and identity/residence evidence; non-Muslim applications also list the death certificate or notification. Eligibility and procedure depend on nationality and residence status; confirm the case directly with the municipal cemeteries service rather than relying only on the broad applicant list. Repatriation enquiries are directed by the service FAQ to DHA on 800342. These are separate procedures; this chat cannot issue or verify a death or burial permit.

Booking municipal park sports fields

Citizens and residents can select a park, sports field, date and time through DubaiNow, Dubai Public Parks or the listed Destinations and More app. Bring the booking reference. The service conditions require proof of neighbourhood residence for the playground and allow park management to release a late arrival's slot. Check the selected facility's booking conditions and available times in the official system; the chat cannot see live slots or reserve a field. Contact 800900 for a booking-system problem.

Caravan camping on Jebel Ali Public Beach

Citizens, residents and visitors can request the Jebel Ali public-beach caravan-camping NOC through Dubai Municipality or DubaiNow. Supply a copy of the valid caravan or trailer ownership and its photograph. The NOC is for the specified Jebel Ali beach and period, not unrestricted camping on every Dubai beach. A new NOC is subject to the waiting interval after the previous one expires. Check the issued NOC and current service conditions before planning a continuous stay.

Events and filming in municipal historical areas

For an event in a Dubai Municipality historical area, apply for the municipal historical-area NOC with a site plan of the proposed location and respond to review comments. Activities must preserve the heritage buildings and site and comply with the stated use conditions. The current service directs filming applications to the Dubai Film and TV Production Commission platform. An event approval should not be treated as permission for unrelated filming or for a different use of the site.

Dubai Municipality: services and how to choose the right one

Dubai Municipality's public directory lists services across building and engineering approvals, food and consumer-product safety, public health, waste and sewerage, environmental matters, laboratory testing, maps, parks and community services. The right route depends on the exact service, location and applicant. A service appearing in the municipal directory does not mean every part of its application is handled on the same website: check the current service record for the responsible channel and any other approvals. Identify the task, such as correcting a housing fee or registering a cosmetic, before choosing a procedure.

Mega-park membership versus Children’s City membership

Citizens and residents can obtain separate annual memberships for Dubai's listed mega parks or Children's City. Mega-park membership is available through the municipal channels; Children's City uses its own listed website and requires photographs of the applicant and any companions. Pay and receive the electronic membership. Children's City membership covers that attraction and Creek Park; mega-park membership covers the parks listed by the service. Paid extras such as chalet rental, swimming pools and certain attractions are excluded from the park membership. Membership cannot be transferred and fees are non-refundable. Check the relevant membership's conditions rather than assuming one card covers every activity.

Advertising on land and the Mada Media route

Advertising companies and government or semi-government bodies use the unified outdoor-advertising platform for eligible signs on land. Provide the landholder's time-limited NOC and a design showing location, dimensions and advertising content; particular structures need additional approvals. The current municipal record says advertising permits for Dubai Municipality land parcels are processed only by Mada Media. Advertising inside a free zone is issued by that zone's authority; municipal permissions described here concern locations outside free zones. Transferring the display to another holder requires cancellation, the previous holder's waiver, settlement of outstanding amounts and a new application by the recipient. Landholder consent is also relevant to validity and renewal. This is distinct from DLD approval of real-estate advertising content.

Building-façade, rooftop and building-name advertisements

Building advertising permits use the unified outdoor-advertising platform. Submit the property holder's NOC specifying the permission period and the proposed location, dimensions and content; certain structures need further engineering or authority approvals. The municipal FAQ distinguishes a facility's trade-name sign, handled by DET, from a rooftop trade-name sign, handled through the municipal advertising service. A building-name applicant without a trade licence can provide Emirates ID under this service. Free-zone advertising requires the relevant zone's permission. Transfer to a new permit holder requires cancellation, a waiver, settlement and a fresh application. Check the exact placement and jurisdiction before selecting the permit.

Designing and delivering government construction projects

Government entities request municipal design and construction support by sending an official letter to Dgc@dm.gov.ae with the project's purpose, requirements, budget information and site plan. The responsible municipal department reviews the scope and budget; the process includes a partnership agreement and appointment of design, supervision and construction providers. An approved budget is required before design begins. Changes during construction require the requesting entity to provide the additional budget. Initial handover and final handover after the defects period are separate stages. The contractor's corrective obligations follow the contract, while the beneficiary handles preventive maintenance, security and insurance. This is a government-project delivery service, not a private building-permit application.

Children’s City facility bookings and event conditions

Children's City offers its theatre, halls and indoor or outdoor spaces for approved events through the listed parks, Dubai Now and Children's City booking channels. Select the facility and date, await acceptance and pay within the stated deadline. The current conditions say the reservation date cannot be changed or cancelled. Guests still pay the attraction's entrance fees, and the hirer is responsible for assessed damage. Tables, chairs and access assistance depend on availability. A rehearsal before the event requires an available facility and paid reservation; outside catering is permitted under the service FAQ. Confirm the particular event's arrangements before making commitments to guests.

Hotel and cinema municipal sales-fee reporting and closure

Covered hotel establishments, cinemas and other businesses listed in the official service report monthly sales through Dubai Municipality's Revenue System, obtain the payment authorisation and pay by the 15th of the following month. The relevant fee base depends on the business category; a room-only assumption can omit other covered hotel revenue. UAE Pass access must be linked to the establishment's licence using the prescribed account process. For temporary or permanent closure, use the system's messaging feature and attach an official letter explaining the closure type and reason. The revenue team requests the relevant supporting evidence before changing the establishment's status. Stopping activity or cancelling another licence does not replace this recorded closure process. Confirm the applicable accounting treatment with the revenue team.

Public-beach and waterway event NOCs

This municipal NOC covers temporary public-beach and waterway activities organised by government entities through their appointed event company or contractor. Submit the official sponsor letter, other required approvals, a coordinate-based site plan, event drawings and activity details, including the applicable waste-management plan. Apply through the municipal portal before using the beach or advertising the event; the current service specifies at least three weeks in advance. Approval is tied to the event timeline and beach-work conditions. The NOC is not renewable. It does not replace the permissions of other authorities or establish that any private event is eligible for this government-event route.

Historical-area shop signs: approval before installation

A shop sign in a historical area needs design approval from the Architectural Heritage and Antiquities Department before it is made and installed. There are two routes: appoint an advertising company and obtain approval for its design, or ask the department to design and implement the sign. Supply photographs of the storefront or sign location; an approval-only request also needs the proposed design. The review includes the materials and appearance. Apply through the municipal service and meet the stated payment and approval-validity deadlines. Approval for a general advertising location does not remove this historical-area design requirement.

Removing a historical-building entry from a site plan

The municipal service considers an NOC to remove the Historical Building entry from the site-plan holder details. Its listed applicants are citizen landholders. Submit interior and exterior photographs, the plot site plan and the completion certificate for the building's demolition permit through the municipal or Build in Dubai channel. After review, pay within the stated deadline and obtain the NOC, then separately request issue or renewal of the site plan through the Survey Department. This administrative record-change service is not permission to demolish a protected building or bypass heritage approval. Confirm the case with the authority before undertaking any work.

Municipal plant nurseries and horticultural-plant enquiries

Dubai Municipality's Agriculture Department establishes and operates municipal plant nurseries and their production in Dubai. Confirm the current ordering channel, stock, collection arrangements, eligibility and charges with the Municipality before travelling or arranging transport. The nursery overview does not establish those current transaction details, so availability or a price should not be promised from this source alone.

Municipal service changes and current authority

Dubai Municipality announced these changes on 20 August 2026. Historic-area maintenance and interior-design approvals now sit within building licensing. Rooftop or vacant-plot advertising structures use the relevant modification service. Completion without contractor or consultant approval is handled within the completion-certificate service. Public-health pest classification is provided as a report. Specialised Dubai Central Laboratory training was discontinued. Seven services transferred to Dubai Environment and Climate Change Authority (DECCA): well drilling and groundwater use; industrial environmental permits; development/infrastructure environmental permits; marine data; agricultural soil; recreational rod-and-line fishing; and nature-reserve activity NOCs. A retained municipal service page is not proof that DM remains the issuing authority. Check the responsible authority's current channel before applying. The announcement does not specify replacement application documents, charges or deadlines for the integrated services.
